You’re surprised by how badly it stings; how deeply it cuts into you. Especially since it’s not directed at you. The class echoes with laughter; harsh, derisive, vicious laughter. And just when you thought it couldn’t hurt any worse, you look over at her.
Her face is simple, muscles lax, a trace of confusion dominating its features. But there’s something else, only there for a second - but you see it and it’s enough to know. To know that she’s gone numb, shutting out the laughter directed at her for the umpteenth time. And it’s that look that makes rage boil in your stomach like a pot that’s been on the stove too long. Your temper flares and you frown, yet none of your scathingly sharp words seem to be able to make their way from your throat to your mouth.
Eventually the laughter dies down, and the teacher moves on with the lesson. You’ve lost any focus you may have had and now stare blankly at your notebook, berating yourself for not speaking up. How do you expect to win her back when you can’t even defend her from a bunch of losers?
You’re pulled from your thoughts when a slender hand lands on your thigh, giving it a gentle squeeze. Blue eyes search yours, silently asking you if everything’s okay. And now she’s the one doing the comforting, and how did that happen? Your heart breaks at the innocence in her eyes, and you smile and nod. She turns back to her notebook and continues doodling unicorns, her most recent obsession. She’s spent hours researching their origins and their lore, wanting to understand them better. But why would anyone care to learn that about her, when it’s so much easier to laugh at what she doesn’t know? The question rings bitterly in your mind as you watch her poke her tongue out between her teeth in concentration.
You swear to yourself that you’ll protect her from now on. Make sure she knows she’s one of the smartest people you’ve met in this dump of a school and never let her forget it. She catches you watching her and giggles before leaning over to doodle a small unicorn on your notebook, giving it a heart-shaped spot on its back.

Illegal blackmailing and possibly publishing child pornography (if the guys are the same age as the girl mentioned in the post) is so hilarious isn't it?

Anonymous

zohbugg:

(x) Not as hilarious as unsolicited sexual advances towards a 16 year old girl, So yes, assuming these boys are her age, let’s begin to question why teenage boys feel it’s okay to send a girl pictures of their dicks. This girl has been harassed by over 30 different boys sending her pictures of their junk and you’re mad? Really?

So when a girl threatens to leak dick pics (unwanted and unwelcome by the way), it’s child pornography and blackmail, but when nudes are leaked of a girl (nudes probably sent in trust) it’s a scandal and she’s a slut for sending them.

Hmm, anon? Is that right?

Yeah. Sit the fuck down.
